WiFi Site Surveys

Know your coverage before you buy a single access point.

Predictive design in Ekahau AI Pro, validated on site, so you install the right number of access points in the right places.

The challenge

Guessing costs more than measuring.

Too few access points and users complain; too many and they interfere with each other. A design made only on paper puts APs behind metal racking, above doors or in the path of a forklift.

What we deliver

Every survey type, one consistent method.

Requirements and floor plans

To-scale plans, use cases, device density and numeric design targets for signal, SNR, data rate and roaming overlap.

Predictive design (Ekahau AI Pro)

Modelled AP count, placement, mounting height, antenna pattern and channel and power plan, including co-channel interference.

Passive survey

Measuring your existing WiFi as it is today: coverage, interference and neighbouring networks.

Active survey

Testing real connection quality (throughput, latency and roaming) the way a device experiences it.

AP-on-a-stick validation

Temporarily placing an access point at a planned location to measure how the building really behaves.

On-site location validation

Every planned AP location is checked for impact risk from forklifts, doors, machinery and vehicle paths, and for practical mounting. Flagged locations are re-planned.

Preliminary BOM and PoE check

AP models, mounting hardware and cable drop per AP, with the PoE budget checked against the planned switches.

FAQ

Common questions

Predictive or on-site: which do we need?

Predictive for new buildings and planning, passive and active for existing networks. Most projects combine both.

Do we need floor plans?

Yes, to scale. If you don't have accurate plans, we agree how to get them before modelling starts.

Can you survey warehouses and production floors?

Yes, including checks against racking, forklift traffic and moving machinery.

Will the report tell us what to buy?

Yes. The final design includes a bill of materials and an AP placement plan your installer can work from.

Planning new access points?

Start with a survey and get the design right before the hardware is ordered.
